John W. Thatcher, Esq. – Of Counsel
John W. Thatcher, known by his friends and colleagues as “Jay”, started practicing law in Flemington, New Jersey as a general practitioner on December 10, 1974 and has continued to practice in Hunterdon County since that time.
Throughout his career, Mr. Thatcher has engaged in numerous areas of law, with emphasis on family law, probate, guardianship, and real estate. He is a trained Family Law Arbitrator and Mediator.
Community activities for Mr. Thatcher include serving as Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Committeeman in Union Township, Hunterdon County from 1985 through 1990, Selective Service System member, Chapter 23, from 1981 through 2001, and Red Mill Museum Village Board of Trustees from 2008 through 2021.
Mr. Thatcher was the recipient of the 2007 New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law, Hunterdon County Bar Association, Professional Lawyer of the Year.
