Edward R. Martin is the Senior Partner at Martin Tune and focuses his practice on representing clients in personal injury matters. He also represents individuals and business entities in general and commercial litigation.
Mr. Martin has served as a municipal prosecutor and is presently the municipal court judge in several townships in Hunterdon and Somerset Counties. Mr. Martin is a member of the bar of all New Jersey State Courts and the U.S. District Court for New Jersey and is also a member of the bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (Appeals Court for cases arising from federal trial courts in Delaware, New Jersey, most of Pennsylvania and the Virgin Islands). In addition to his daily practice of civil trial law, he has also taught college business law, served as a neutral arbitrator in arbitrations, and was the chairman of the Civil Trial Bar Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association for several terms. He has also served as an instructor in the training program for arbitrators in the Supreme Court’s civil arbitration program.
Upon graduation from law school, he was employed by a personal injury firm in Elizabeth; he tried his first personal injury jury case two weeks after his admission to the bar and, over the course of his career, has tried over 500 cases in which at least 300 were decided by jury verdict. His favorable verdict record is extraordinary.
Mr. Martin received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Peter’s College, and his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law.
Ed lives in Hunterdon County with his rescue dog Ivy.
